About Scotty Lago
Scott Lago grew up snowboarding the tubing hills of Amesbury, Massachusetts and after years of shredding as an amateur he made his way to the big stage. At age 17 he burst onto the scene with a win at the 2004 World Quarterpipe Championships. He’d go on to have a big year in 2006, earning gold medals at the Fis World Cup Halfpipe and Paul Mitchell Progression Session. That year he’d also earn his first Winter X Games bronze medal after finishing third in the halfpipe competition. In 2007 he upped his performance and won the World Cup Halfpipe Opener while also taking home a silver at the 2007 Van Cup. In 2008 and 2009 he competed on the Dew Tour and won three bronze medals in the SuperPipe. In 2010 he achieved his ultimate goal of joining the U.S. Olympic Snowboarding Team and won a bronze medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in the Halfpipe competition.
