Sammy Watkins

Sammy Watkins is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers who has had longtime success in the NFL. He spent his first three seasons with the Buffalo Bills after being a top-five pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Watkins had a 1,000-yard receiving campaign in his second season. He went on to play with the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 before joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. While with the Chiefs, Watkins won Super Bowl LIV. He played in Kansas City through the 2020 season before spending 2021 with the Baltimore Ravens and signing with the Packers the following offseason.

Watkins originated from Fort Myers, Florida in 1993 and grew up to become the star of the South Fort Myers High School football team. Watkins honorably played in the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and also became one of the state’s top sprinters throughout his high school career. Rated as the third-best wide receiver prospect in the nation, Watkins was recruited by several colleges before deciding to commit to Clemson. At Clemson, he immediately became the ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year and went on to win the Orange Bowl with his fellow Tigers in 2014 and was named the Orange Bowl MVP. Unsurprisingly, he was selected in the first round of the draft out of college.
