Sam Ryan

Samantha Ryan, much more commonly referred to as Sam, is New York City-based reporter who formerly worked for MLB Network. Sam was born in 1969. She grew up in New York and attended the New York Institute of Technology for several years. She then went on to major in communications at Hofstra University. Immediately after graduating from college, Sam hit the ground running as she commenced her career in the field, working for WVIT Hartford, WFAN, and ABC Radio Network. By 1999, she was the recipient of a local Emmy award known as “Outstanding Series Feature-soft”. The following year, Ryan took up a position with Fox Sports N.Y. and in the upcoming years, she spent time with WABC-TV, ABC, ESPN, CBS Sports and WCBS-TV. Finally, in 2011, she joined the MLB Network as a studio host and reporter and regularly appeared on The Rundown, Quick Pitch, and other MLB network studio programs.
