Ryuji Imada

Ryuji Imada is a highly respected American professional golfer of Japanese descent. Imada was born in Japan in 1976 and moved to the United States during his early teenage years. At the age of 14, he was enrolled in a Tampa golf academy for Asian players. The instructor Imada received at the golf academy surprisingly enough became his legal guardian. He won several top tournaments under his guidance and went on to attend the University of Georgia before turning professional in 1999. Imada played on the second tier Nationwide Tour for the first few years of his professional career before earning a spot on the PGA Tour in 2004. His first notable accomplishment on the PGA Tour occurred in 2007, when he finished second at the AT&T Classic and earned over half a million dollars. The following year, he obtained his first professional PGA Tour tournament win at the AT&T Classic once again and earned a spot in the top 50 of the official world rankings for the first time in his career. Imada deserves every ounce of recognition he has received over the years as he exemplifies an individual who believes in making the best life possible for oneself and displays the true meaning of hard work and dedication.
