About Angel Cabrera
By far the most successful golfer to ever come out of Argentina, Angel Cabrera is a two-time major champion. Cabrera won the 2002 U.S. Open and the 2009 Masters. He has been in the final group for the Masters two other times. Roberto De Vicenzo is the only other Argentinian to have won a major. Tiger Woods is the only other active golfer to have won a U.S. Open and Masters. With another triumph coming at the Greenbrier Classic in 2014, Cabrera has three PGA Tour victories and five wins on the European Tour. He first earned his PGA Tour card in 2006 and has finished in the top 15 on the European Tour money list seven times. Cabrera learned golf when he became a caddy in Argentina at age 10. The free-swinging golfer is beloved both for his play and infectious personality. His sons Angel and Federico both play golf professionally. Cabrera set up a Foundation that helps develop caddies.
