About Robert Parish
Robert Parish is a former professional basketball player, who played the center position from 1976-1997. Parish attended Centenary College before he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 1976 NBA Draft where he went as the 8th overall selection. Parish played most of his career with the Boston Celtics and also became a member of the Pan United States basketball team in the Pan American Games, where they won Gold. Over his long career Parish became the NBA Leader in games played, and a four time NBA champion and a nine time NBA All-Star. He also became a member of the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. After retiring from professional basketball, the Boston Celtics retired Parish's famous number 00. Robert was awarded with the highest honor a professional basketball player can achieve, when he was chosen for induction as a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
