About Brian Scalabrine
Brian Scalabrine is a retired NBA player and current NBA analyst with the Boston Celtics. Scalabrine spent 11 seasons in the NBA as a player, and was notorious for his antics rather than his on court play. Before the NBA, Scalabrine played collegiately at Highline College in 1996 before transferring to USC in 1998 to finish his career. He was named first team All-Pac 10 in 2000, and he was selected in the second round of the 2001 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets. Scalabrine played sparingly with the Nets for the next four seasons, eventually signing with the Boston Celtics in 2005, and he recorded his best season in 2007 by playing 48 games and helping the Celtics win the NBA Title without making an appearance in the playoffs, making for an interesting and famous post-game interview. In 2010, Scalabrine signed with the Chicago Bulls, playing with the team for two seasons before retiring as a player in 2012. Following his retirement, Scalabrine would become an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors for the 2013 season, leaving after one season to become an analyst with the Boston based Comcast sports network.
