Robbie Gould Biography

Robbie Gould is a placekicker in the National Football League. Prior to making it to the NFL, Robbie played football in college at Penn State. He began as a freshman walk-on and went on to make the team and became a successful kicker. He was undrafted in the 2005 NFL Draft, but he was signed originally by the Patriots but made his debut and played mostly for the Chicago Bears. In his first season he showed signs of greatness making 77% of his field goal attempts and in his second year he made 26 consecutive field goals which broke former Bears’ kicker Kevin Butler’s record of most consecutive field goals. For his accuracy, Gould is the third most accurate kicker in NFL history and has been a part of seven seasons where he has scored at least 100 points, which is a Bears record. Robbie has also been selected to the Pro Bowl in 2006, been a First-Team All-Pro as well as aided his team in becoming NFC Champions in 2006.
