About Regan Smith
Regan Smith is a top American swimmer, specializing in the 100-meter backstroke. She won the event at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials, qualifying her for the Tokyo Games. Smith has also been competitive in the 200 m backstroke, grabbing gold in the event at the 2019 World Championships. She also won gold at Worlds that year as a member of the world record-setting 4x100 m relay team. With her strong showing, she became the first American in 2019 to win SwimSwam's World Junior Female Swimmer of the Year.
