About Raul Gonzalez
Raul Gonzalez is a professional soccer player who plays for the North American Soccer League club the New York Cosmos as a striker. As a child Raul played for the Atletico Madrid youth team and later the Real Madrid youth academy. He turned professional in 1994 when he signed his first professional contract and was promptly promoted to the first division team. Gonzalez is considered as one of the most important players in the history of Real Madrid thanks to his number of games and goals scored. In 16 years there, he scored a club record 323 goals. His leadership and discipline throughout his career led to him winning six La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League titles, a UEFA Super Cup, and two Intercontinental Cups. These accolades further support the thoughts of Raul being one of the greatest and most consistent strikers of all time thanks to his speed, technical skill, and opportunism on the field.
