About Randy Moss
Randy Moss is a Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver and television analyst. He is known as one of the most prolific receivers in NFL history. Moss is a six-time Pro Bowler, four-time First-Team All-Pro, part of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and NFL All-Time 100th Anniversary Team.
Growing up in Rand, West Virginia, in a single-parent household, Moss excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He was named West Virginia Football Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons.
Moss played college football at Marshall University from 1996 to 1997, setting NCAA Division I-AA records for touchdowns scored with 28, earning First-Team All-American honors, and finishing fourth in Heisman voting in 1997.
He was drafted 21st overall by the Minnesota Vikings, where he set an NFL rookie record with 17 touchdown receptions. His NFL career spanned fourteen seasons, with stops in Oakland, New England, Tennessee, and San Francisco.
He holds the NFL single-season record for touchdown receptions at 23 and ranks second all-time with 156 career receiving touchdowns, behind Jerry Rice.
After retiring in 2012, he joined ESPN as an analyst for their Monday and Sunday Night Football NFL coverage. Moss was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
