About Phil Coke
Phil Coke was been a successful major league reliever for several teams, most notably the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers.In his second season, he won the 2009 World Series with the Yankees. Coke was then traded, but debuted in Detroit with the best year of his career.He had a 3.76 ERA in 2010.Against his old team in the 2012 ALCS, Coke saved two games and pitched two perfect innings in the series clincher to send the Tigers to the World Series.He gave up just one run in 10 2/3 innings and notched 13 strikeouts in the 2012 postseason.The Yankees originally drafted him in the 26th round of the 2002 MLB Draft and he worked his way up through the minor leagues.
