About Peter Jacobsen
Peter Jacobsen was a successful golfer on the PGA Tour and has carried that excellence over to the Champions Tour and broadcasting world. Jacobson won seven times on the PGA Tour. Twice he finished inside the Tour’s top ten on the money list. Jacobsen won his first tournament in 1980 and his last at the Greater Hartford Open in 2003. That season, he was voted the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year as a 49 year old. His best finish in a major has been two third place showings at the PGA Championship. Jacobsen has gone on to play on the Champions Tour and his two wins have both been senior majors. He currently is an analyst for the Golf Channel and NBC and has also hosted shows for the network. The Portland, Oregon native played golf at the University of Oregon, where he won the Pac-8 Conference Championship in 1974. Jacobsen was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
