About Dottie Pepper
Dottie Pepper is a former professional golfer who competed for 17 seasons on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, Pepper won the 1981 New York Amateur tournament as well as two New York Junior Amateur titles in 1981 and 1983. She attended Furman University where she was named an All American three times in four seasons. Pepper turned professional in 1988 when she joined the LPGA Tour. Her first professional victory came at the 1989 Oldsmobile LPGA Classic, defeating Beth Daniel in a playoff round. Pepper would go on to win a total of 17 LPGA Tour events and a total of 28 professional wins. Her best result in a major championship came in 1992 and in 1999 when she won the ANA Inspiration, her only two major championship victories. Her success earned her multiple awards, including 1992 LPGA Top Money Winner, 1992 LPGA Tour Player of the Year, and many more. Following her retirement, Pepper focused her career on broadcasting, working with NBC, Golf Channel, and ESPN for the next phase of her career.
