About Pete Carroll
Pete Carroll has one of the most remarkable resumes in the history of coaching football. Carroll has achieved the rare feat of winning a college National Championship and a Super Bowl.He won Super Bowl XLVII with the Seattle Seahawks, all the while building one of the most dynamic rosters in the NFL.In 14 seasons piloting Seattle, Carroll made the playoffs ten times.
As the head coach at USC from 2001-09, Carroll went 97-19 and won seven Pac-10 titles.During his tenure, the school produced three Heisman Trophy winners.A 34-game winning streak included the 2005 BCS National Championship and only ended with a loss in the title game the following year.
Carroll had previously been an NFL head coach with the New York Jets and New England Patriots, taking the latter to the playoffs twice.He got his first NFL assistant job with the Buffalo Bills after being a college coach for over a decade. Carroll started his coaching career as a graduate assistant for three seasons at his alma mater Pacific.
