Pavel Kubina is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Atlanta Thrashers and Philadelphia Flyers. Internationally, he represented the Czech Republic and won gold at three World Championships (1999, 2001, and 2005) and bronze at the 2006 Torino Olympics.
