About Pavel Bure
Pavel Bure is a retired professional hockey player, known for time with the NHL. Bure started hisprofessional career in 1987, playing for the Russian based Central Red Army, where he would go on tobecome an offensive force. In 1989, Bure was selected in the NHL Draft, but legal issues kept him playingin Russia until 1991, when he made his debut as a Vancouver Canuck. As a highly touted acquisition,Bure would go on to be a star for the Canucks, making multiple All-Star games and leading a fearedCanuck offense that would reach the playoffs multiple times. In 1998, Bure was traded to the FloridaPanthers, where he continued todominate up until he was traded again, this time to the New YorkRangers. After a 16 year professional career, Bure decided toretire, finishing with a plethora of awardsand honors. Bure was a five time all-star, along with leading the league in goals scored on three separateoccasions. In 2012, Bure’s status as an all-time great was cemented, as he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
