Nestor Cortes Biography

Nestor Cortes is a standout pitcher for the New York Yankees. Cortes had his first big breakthrough in 2021, posting a 2.90 ERA in 22 appearances. He became the ace of the Yankees the following season. Cortes was an original late-round pick of New York in the 2013 MLB Draft, but made his debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2018 after being selected in the Rule 5 Draft. He then spent the 2019 season with the Yankees and the 2020 season with the Seattle Mariners before returning to the Bronx.
