About Nalyssa Smith
NaLyssa Smith serves as a professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings within the WNBA. The forward NaLyssa Smith entered the world on August 8, 2000, in Converse, Texas, before playing college basketball at Baylor University. She led the nation's power forwards during her senior year by averaging 22.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while receiving consensus All-American recognition and the Katrina McClain Award.
The Indiana Fever chose NaLyssa Smith as their second overall selection during the 2022 WNBA Draft. During her rookie season she played in all 32 games while scoring 13.5 points and grabbing 7.9 rebounds per game which earned her All-Rookie status and placed her third in Rookie of the Year voting. During the 2023 season she raised her scoring average to 15.5 points while collecting 9.2 rebounds per game while becoming the franchise leader with 13 double-doubles.
The Dallas Wings acquired Smith through a multi-team trade during early 2025 when they received Ty Harris and the eighth overall pick in the 2025 draft. The Wings expect her versatile skills and scoring talent to enhance their frontcourt performance during their pursuit of playoff qualification.
