About Mo Farah
Mo Farah is the greatest distance runner in the history of the United Kingdom. In the last two Olympics, he has captured gold in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. Farah is just one of two runners to successfully defend both titles. In addition to his Olympic wins, he also finished first in both races at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships. Farah is a three-time European Athlete of the Year and a six-time British Athlete of the Year. In 2013, he was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Farah's story is even more incredible when you factor in that he was originally born in Somalia and did not move to the U.K. until age eight.
