Mirai Nagasu Biography

Mirai Nagasu has become one of the United States best figure skaters. As an admirer of Michelle Kwan, Mirai began to skate at the young age of five. It did not take very long for her to develop her skills and exhibit just how good she was at such a young age. By the time she was 14 years old she became the youngest woman since Tara Lipinski to win the U.S. senior ladies title. As the number 23 ranked skater in the world, Mirai has proven that she is one of the best of this generation of skaters. She has gone on to win two bronze medals, a silver, and a gold medal at the US Championships, as well as won medals in the World Junior Championships and the Four Continents Championships. While she did not medal after coming in 4th place, Mirai also has the distinction of being a part of the 2010 Olympic Games representing the United States.
