About Mike Tirico
Mike Tirico is an announcer for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Tirico attended Syracuse University and during his undergraduate career, he served as a Sports Director at WTVH-TV for 4 years. Tirico’s sports broadcasting career began at Syracuse when he hosted his first show from WAER radio in Syracuse, NY. In 1991, Tirico joined ESPN as an anchor for SportsCenter. During his ESPN career, Tirico has covered play-by-play for ESPN’s Thursday night college football package, college basketball coverage, NBA coverage and PGA golf coverage for ABC. From 1993- 2001, Tirico has covered various ESPN and ABC events, which included a stint on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown.
