About Mike Glenn
Mike Glenn graduated from Coosa High School in Rome, Geogia in 1973 and went on to star on the basketball court at Southern Illinois University after scoring 2,400 career points during his high school career. While at Southern Illinois he was a star both on the basketball court and in the classroom, earning his B.S. degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science and also earning All-Missouri Valley Conference honors on the court. In 1977 he was selected in the second round with the 23rd overall pick by the Buffalo Braves in the NBA Draft after earning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year honors in 1976. During his ten seasons in the NBA he played for the Braves, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks from 1977 to 1986 and scored 4,496 points. One of his most prized accomplishments came in 1981 when he earned the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for his dedication to his team and the community while playing for the Knicks. After his retirement from the NBA he became a commentator for the Atlanta Hawks on FSN South.
