About Mike Boynton Jr.
Mike Boynton Jr. is an assistant coach at the University of Michigan and the previous head coach for men's basketball at Oklahoma State. Boynton posted two 20-win seasons in his first four years on the job in Stillwater, with an NCAA appearance coming in 2021. He spent one year at OSU as an assistant under Brad Underwood prior to becoming head coach. Boynton has worked with Underwood coming up in the ranks, serving as his assistant at Stephen F. Austin and on the same staff with him at South Carolina. Boynton was also a heralded Gamecocks player who began his coaching career in the state with jobs at Furman, Coastal Carolina and Wofford.
