Mike Alstott

Mike Alstott played all 11 of his NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being selected in the 2nd round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Bucs out of Purdue University. While at Purdue he became the first player in Boilermaker history to earn team MVP honors in three consecutive seasons and finished his career as Purdue’s all-time rushing leader with 3,635 yards. In 1995 he rushed for a school record 1,436 yards in route to earning All-American and consensus All-Big Ten honors. For his performance at Purdue he earned induction into both the Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame and Indiana Football Hall of Fame. While playing in Tampa Bay he earned six Pro-Bowl selections, four All-Pro honors and helped the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl Championship in 2003. Alstott retired in 2006 with 5,088 rushing yards, 2,284 receiving yards, 58 career rushing touchdowns and 13 career receiving touchdowns. Off the field he worked just as hard to help others succeed, establishing the Mike Alstott Family Foundation with the goal of helping out struggling families.
