About Midge Purce
Midge Purce is a star for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and in the NWSL. Purce made her senior national team debut in 2019. She has also had a lengthy pro career and currently is with Gotham FC. She won the 2023 NWSL Championship and was named MVP of the game with two assists. In 2021, Purce was second in the NWSL Golden Boot race and was named to the league's Best XI. She previously played for the Boston Breakers and Portland Thorns.
Before turning pro, Purce was a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year and a first-team All-American at Harvard. She remains active at her university as a member of the Board of Overseers. She is also committed to activism and advancing opportunities off the pitch as a co-founder and member of the Black Women's Player Collective. Her work with the BWPC landed her a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023.
