About Michael Dean Perry
Despite occasionally living in the shadow of his older brother William “The Refrigerator” Perry, Michael Dean Perry carved out great success in his own right in the NFL. Perry was a six-time Pro Bowler and the AFC Defensive Player of the Year for 1989. He was a four-time All-Pro in his ten seasons in the league. With 61 career sacks, Perry left his mark on opposing quarterbacks in his time with the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs. Like his older brother, people made noted of his large stature. Perry had a version of the Big Mac named the MDP that was sold in Cleveland-area McDonald’s during his time with the Browns. At Clemson University, he is tied for the most sacks in program history with Gaines Adams. Perry grew up in Aiken, South Carolina and went to South Aiken High School.
