About Matt Weibring
Matt Weibring is a professional golfer who turned professional in 2002. Weibring is the son of professional golfer D.A. Weibring. After turning professional, Weibring played on the Nationwide Tour in 2003 and from 2005-08. He also played on the Canadian Tour before playing on the PGA Tour in 2009-10. Weibring returned to the Nationwide Tour in 2011. In 2009, Weibring recorded his best result on the PGA Tour with T8 at the 2009 Verizon Heritage. Weibring has had a history of injuries, which included hip and knee surgery. Weibring also has Bell’s palsy, a condition that his father also experienced; he cannot blink his right eye. Weibring is a natural swinger on the ball and he plays a smart game. He has a sound game from a short distance. Weibring needs to exploit his skills more and learn not to play so tentatively. He also needs to learn how to score on a consistent basis.
