About Mark Helfrich
Mark Helfrich took over the wildly successful Oregon football program from Chip Kelly in 2013. Helfrich has been the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Ducks from 2009-12. During that time, he oversaw great success, including four BCS bowl appearances and three Pac-12 championships.
Helfrich continued that level of excellence, guiding Oregon to two back-to-back Pac-12 championships and top ten finishes as head coach. Overall, he was 37-16 in four seasons. Helfrich departed the Ducks program in 2016, but did spend two seasons as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears. He is currently a college football analyst for Fox Sports.
Helfrich began his coaching career at Southern Oregon after a record-setting tenure as a quarterback there. He spent the next decade-plus working his way up in the profession, serving mostly as an assistant at Pac-12 schools like Arizona State and Colorado.
