About Mark Davis
Mark Davis is a businessman and an investor, currently investing his time and money into the ownership of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders. Inheriting the team from his father after his death in 2011, Davis and his mother currently hold a 47% share of the team; however, Mark has day-to-day control and is known for his hands-off approach when it comes to managing the Raiders. Focusing more on the business aspects of owning the team, the Raiders were in for a change as Al Davis, former owner, could not have operated more differently. Al had a very hands-on approach with the Raiders, focusing both on the football aspects and the business side. His son has chosen to leave the football side to General Manager Reggie McKenzie. Mark, current owner of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders, is known for protecting his family name as he fired the Raiders public relations director after he spotted a Sports Illustrated article that left negative impressions of his father. Loyal to both his family and his team, Davis is expected to do great things while managing the Oakland Raiders in the years to come.
