About Malik Monk
Malik Monk is a guard for the Sacramento Kings. The Charlotte Hornets originally selected Malik with the 11th overall pick in the 2017NBA Draft. In his one season at Kentucky, he etched his name in the Wildcats record books. He averaged 19.8 points per game and was named SEC Player of the Year. Monk was a consensus second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC pick. He helped lead UK to the Final Four as well. Prior to arriving in Lexington, Monk attendedBentonville High School and was a consensus five-star prospect. He chose Kentucky over the home stateArkansas Razorbacks. Monk participated in both the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. He averaged 28.6 points and 7.6 rebounds as a senior and led Arkansas to the 7A state championship game. Monk was also Mr. Basketball of Arkansas.
