About Luke Murray
Luke Murray is the newly appointed head coach of the Boston College men's basketball team, his first head coaching role. Son of actor and comedian Bill Murray, Luke forged his own path in basketball. A Fairfield University graduate, he began coaching in 2007 as director of operations at Quinnipiac. He held assistant roles at Post, Arizona, Wagner, Towson, Rhode Island, Xavier, Louisville, and UConn. At UConn under Dan Hurley (2021–2026), he contributed to back-to-back NCAA national championships in 2023 and 2024. Praised for offensive expertise, player development, and recruiting, Murray now aims to revive Boston College's struggling program.
