About Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez is a star striker for FC Barcelona. Suarez started his career with Nacional in his native Uruguay, played for Groningen and Ajax in the Eredivisie, and also suited up with Liverpool in the English Premier League. While with Ajax, he was Dutch Footballer of the Year and his team won the KNVB Cup in 2009-10. His 2013-14 season with Liverpool was also a banner campaign. Suarez led the EPL with 31 goals, became the first non-European to win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award and picked up the FWA Footballer of the Year. He has over 40 goals scored in international play, which is a Uruguayan record. Suarez has competed for his country in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. In 2011, he was named Copa America Player of the Tournament after Uruguay was victorious. Suarez is known by some as the “bad boy” of soccer for many controversial moments on the pitch.
