Ludvig Aberg

The Swedish professional golfer Ludvig Åberg has achieved international golf success at a fast pace. Ludvig Åberg entered the world on October 31, 1999, in Eslöv, Sweden, before he discovered golf at the Eslöv Golf Club. After joining the national sports high school in Helsingborg he managed his academic studies while training intensely. When Åberg turned 13 years old he abandoned soccer to concentrate on golf which became the foundation of his professional career.

The young golfer Åberg achieved top results in amateur golf before enrolling at Texas Tech University where he developed into a top collegiate golfer. The United States' Ben Hogan Award winner Åberg earned the distinction twice in 2022 and 2023 to join Jon Rahm as the only other two-time recipient. During the 2023 season he received both the Haskins Award and the Jack Nicklaus Award. During the 2023 year he received the Swedish Golfer of the Year distinction. He started his professional golf career in June 2023.

The beginning of his professional golfing career was extremely fast-paced for him. Following his professional debut he won tournaments on both DP World Tour and PGA Tour during the same year which made him the first golfer to do so in history. His selection to the 2023 Ryder Cup team coincided with his first major championship appearance. In 2024 he earned a runner-up position at the Masters while finishing 12th at the U.S. Open.

On the golf course Åberg presents himself as a composed player who maintains strict discipline in his game. He lives with his girlfriend Olivia Peet in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Ludvig Åberg has achieved great success through his calm nature and this positions him to become a prominent figure in golf worldwide.
