About Lorenzo Cain
Lorenzo Cain was one of the primary reasons for the Kansas City Royals’ miracle 2014 run to the World Series. Cain hit .301 with 28 steals at the top of the Royals order during the regular season and the club made their first postseason appearance since 1985. In the ALCS, he hit .533, made several amazing defensive plays in center field, and won the MVP Award for the series after Kansas City swept the Baltimore Orioles. Cain originally came up to the big leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2010 and was traded in the Zack Greinke deal to the Royals in 2011. The Brewers drafted him out of Tallahassee Community College in the 17th round of the 2004 MLB Draft. Cain had a very quick baseball learning glove, as he did not even start playing the sport until his sophomore year in high school.
