About Lawrence Frank
Lawrence Frank is a professional basketball coach who currently serves as the Los Angeles Clippers’ assistant coach. Frank attended Indiana University where he graduated with a B.S. in education. He spent four seasons as a manager for the Hoosier basketball team. During Frank’s time with Indiana, the Hoosiers won the Big Ten Championship twice. In Frank’s senior year, Indiana reached the 1992 NCAA Final Four, but fell to Duke. Frank’s first coaching position came in 1992 when he worked as a staff assistant for Marquette University. His next position was with the University of Tennessee as an assistant coach. Frank then went to the Vancouver Grizzlies as an assistant coach. Frank became the interim head coach of the New Jersey Nets on January 26, 2004. His head-coaching career began on June 21, 2004. Frank has also served as the assistant coach for the Boston Celtics. His last headcoaching job was with the Detroit Pistons from 2011-2013. From 2013-2014, Frank served as the assistant and evaluator of the Brooklyn Nets. Frank signed with the LA Clippers in 2014 to be their assistant coach.
