About LA Knight
LA Knight, whose birth name is Shaun Ricker, is an American professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). A native of Hagerstown, Maryland, he is currently signed to WWE's SmackDown brand. Knight began wrestling in 2003 on the independent circuit, later joining Championship Wrestling from Hollywood in 2010. His first WWE stint in 2013 as Slate Randall was brief, serving as an enhancement talent before his release in 2014. Undeterred, he adopted the Eli Drake persona in Impact Wrestling (2015â2019), where he won the Impact World Championship, King of the Mountain Championship, and World Tag Team Championship with Scott Steiner. He also secured the NWA World Tag Team Championship with James Storm in 2020.
Returning to WWE in 2021 as LA Knight, he debuted in NXT, feuding with Cameron Grimes and winning the Million Dollar Championship. His brash confidence, sharp promo skills, and catchphrase âYEAH!â fueled his meteoric rise in 2023, leading to high-profile feuds with Bray Wyatt, The Miz, and Roman Reigns. Knight won the WWE United States Championship twice, first at SummerSlam 2024 against Logan Paul.
Outside of the ring, Knight appeared in âThe Heroâ (2013) and âBrooklyn Nine-Nineâ (2015) and provided motion capture for WWE 2K games.
