About Honky Tonk Man
Ron Farris, or Honky Tonk Man, is a professional wrestler who is best known for his time with the WWE and the WCW. Prior to his time with the WWE, Farris spent over 8 years on the independent circuit, winning multiple singles and tag team championships in various promotions. In 1986, Farris signed with the WWF under the Honky Tonk Man persona, winning the Intercontinental Championship one year later. His time as Intercontinental Champ would be historic, as he would hold the title for over a year, which is a record to this day. He had various feuds with WWE legends such as Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, and many more, and is considered one of the best singles wrestlers to ever hold the Intercontinental Championship. Farris left the WWE in 1991, and he has appeared at various independent shows around the country including making surprise returns at WWE for random events.
