About Kyle Smith
Kyle Smith has had success at every stop in college basketball and is currently the head coach at Stanford. Smith was previously the head coach at Washington State, where in his final season he won 25 games and Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors.
Smith jumped into high-major college basketball after a three-year run at San Francisco, where he won over 20 games each season. He got his first head coaching job at Columbia University in 2010, building the program towards a 25-win season in his final year there.
As a player, Smith spent his college years on the Division III level at Hamilton College where he was a member of the number one ranked team in the country as a junior. He subsequently went into coaching, with stops as an assistant at San Diego, Air Force and Saint Mary's.
