About Kyle Flood
Kyle Flood got his start in coaching as a high school coach at St. Francis Prep in New York City in 1993 after playing four years at Iona College. In 1995 he took over the reigns at C.W. Post for two years and then headed to Hofstra to coach the offensive line. He stayed at Hofstra for four years from 1997 to 2001 and then headed to Delaware in the same position where he served as an assistant until being called upon to coach the offensive line at Rutgers. From 2005 to 2011 Flood was an instrumental part of the Rutgers University success on the football field, and in 2012 he was recognized for his efforts by being hired as the team’s next head coach. He had immediate success, winning the Big East Championship in 2012. In 2014 the Scarlet Knights moved to the Big Ten Conference and Flood led them to a 7-5 record in their inaugural Big Ten season.
