About Kristen Nuss
Kristen Nuss stands as a prominent American beach volleyball athlete who gained fame through her college achievements and her international partnership with Taryn Kloth. Kristen Nuss was born on December 16, 1997 in New Orleans Louisiana before attending Mount Carmel Academy where she won the Gatorade Player of the Year award in 2016.
After joining Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2017 Nuss became the NCAA's all-time winningest beach volleyball player by earning 139 career victories. She won the AVCA Beach Pair of the Year and VolleyballMag Player of the Year awards in 2021 after achieving a 36-0 record on Court 1 with Claire Coppola.
After obtaining her kinesiology degree Nuss moved to professional beach volleyball to play with Taryn Kloth. The duo won multiple international medals including gold at the 2025 Beach Pro Tour Finals and the 2024 Gstaad Elite 16 while competing for the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Nuss maintains her position as a dominant force on the sand through her agility and defensive skills while representing the excellence and dedication that beach volleyball demands.
