About Kevin Colbert
Kevin Colbert was with with the Pittsburgh Steelers 2000-2021. He was originally the director of football operations and became the first general manager in team history in 2010. In 2016, Colbert added the additional title of vice president. He has helped keep the Steelers on top as one of the NFL's best franchises. Colbert was vital in the construction of teams that won Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII. In his first year as general manager, he led a team found wide receiver Antonio Brown in the sixth round. The Steelers also selected franchise cornerstone Le'Veon Bell under Colbert's watch in 2013. He is a Pittsburgh native who grew up not far from where Heinz Field now stands. After a brief career in college coaching, Colbert went into scouting with the BLESTO Scouting Organization in 1984. He joined the Miami Dolphins in a scouting role the next year. In 1990, Colbert became pro scouting director for the Detroit Lions. He served in that position before joining the Steelers.
