About Ken Pomeroy
Ken Pomeroy is one of the gurus when it comes to evaluating college basketball teams for the NCAA Tournament. He is best known as the creator of the KenPom website, where his College Basketball Ratings have been stored since 2002. These tempo-based statistics provide great insight and allow Pomeroy and others to project which teams should make it and succeed in March Madness. His work has drawn such rave reviews that it led to a job with the Houston Rockets for a period of time. Pomeroy also regularly blogs about the sport on his website. He devoted himself full-time to the coverage of college basketball in 2012 after a unique background. Pomeroy was originally a meteorologist for the U.S. government and spent time as a professor in atmospheric sciences at the University of Utah.
