About Jurgen Klinsmann
Jurgen Klinsmann coached and managed in Germany before being hired as the manager of the United States Men’s National Soccer Team in 2011. Prior to that he managed the Germany National Team from 2004 to 2006 and Bayern Munich from 2008 to 2009. As a player he starred on the German National Team, getting his start on the West Germany U16 team in 1980. Over time he earned a respected reputation and landed a spot on the West Germany Olympic Team in 1987. He played on the West Germany National Team and Germany National Team from 1987 to 1998 and scored 47 goals in 108 career international appearances.. During that time he also played professionally for nine different club teams, making 513 appearances and scoring 231 goals from 1981 to 2003. Klinsmann's high-water mark achievement with Team USA was leading them to the knockout stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
