Josh Elliott

Josh Elliott has that it factor when it comes to sports broadcasting. He got his start in sports journalism while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. While studying to earn his bachelors in English Literature he worked on the school’s newspaper as a sports editor, and then became a stringer for the Santa Barbara News-Press after graduation. After earning his masters from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism he became a television producer for Galaxy Productions and then made the jump to 20th Century Fox. After gaining experience in comedy development and physical production he was hired by Sports Illustrated and covered professional sports across the spectrum for six years before joining the ESPN staff in 2004. Elliott’s duties during his early days at ESPN ranged from being a panelist on hit shows like Around the Horn and Jim Rome is Burning, to co-hosting their morning show Cold Pizza on ESPN2. Eventually he earned a spot as a coanchor on ESPNews and then moved up to being a headline anchor on ESPN’s flagship show SportsCenter. In 2011 he left ESPN to become a co-host on ABC’s Good Morning America, and has since joined NBC Sports for a reported $4 million a year.
