About Jordin Tootoo
During over 700 games in the NHL, Jordin Tootoo skated for an entire culture of people. Tootoo was the first player of Inuk descent in league history, making him one of the most high-profile Indigenous names in hockey. He gained a reputation as a tough, team-oriented player while spending most of his career with the Nashville Predators. He set the franchise record for penalty minutes. Tootoo also spent time with the Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks prior to his 2018 retirement.
