About Jonathan Lucroy
Jonathan Lucroy is the pride of Umatilla, Florida, and played his college baseball at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. During his Ragin’ Cajun career he set school records with 184 RBI, 54 doubles, and 414 total bases while also finishing second with 241 career hits. His performance earned him Freshman All-American honors in 2005 and All-Sun Belt Conference honors in 2005 and 2007. Following his junior season the Milwaukee Brewers selected him in the 3rd round of the 2007 MLB Draft. Over the next three years he worked his way through the Brewers minor league system and established himself as their catcher of the future. Since making his MLB debut in 2010 he has hit a solid .285 with 59 homeruns and 294 RBI in just over four seasons. In 2014 he had a career year, posting a .301 batting average and breaking the MLB record for most doubles by a catcher with 53. His performance earned him his first all-star selection and a fourth place finish in the National League MVP voting.
