John Means is an All-Star pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Means blossomed in 2019, sporting a 2.50 ERA over the first half of the season and making his first All-Star appearance. He made his major league debut with the Orioles in 2018. After playing college baseball at West Virginia, Baltimore originally drafted him in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. While with the Mountaineers, he went 6-2 with a 3.13 ERA as a junior, which earned him considerable draft buzz.
