About John Klingberg
John Klingberg is a defenseman for the San Jose Sharks. Klingberg began his professional career in Sweden and was selected by the Stars in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. After several seasons overseas, he made his Stars debut in 2014. Klingberg played in 68 games as a rookie and was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team. He led all rookie defensemen with 40 points that season. Klingberg continued to develop and was named to his first All-Star team in 2018. He has also represented Sweden in international competition and helped them win a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships.
