About John Feinstein
John Feinstein is a noted American sportswriter and author. Feinstein has written over 20 books, most notably a Season on the Brink about the Indiana basketball program and their temperamental head coach, Bob Knight. His 1995 book, A Good Walk Spoiled, which chronicles a year on the PGA Tour through the eyes of 17 golfers was also a best seller. Those two are the best-selling non-fiction sports books ever. A few of his books have been turned into films. Feinstein worked for The Washington Post covering sports and politics for 11 years. He has also written for Sports Illustrated, National Sports Daily, Sporting News, and Golf Digest. He is well known for his commentary on The Golf Channel as well. For a time, he hosted a daily sports talk national radio show on CBS Sports Radio and has been a contributor to programs on NPR. Feinstein went to Duke University.
